A Little About Me

Hi there! I’m a licensed professional counselor based in Decatur, Georgia, and I work with both adolescents, adults, and couples in individual therapy sessions focusing on navigating life’s ups and downs. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, a tough life transition, or adjusting to a medical diagnosis or injury, I’m here to support you.

Individual Therapy for Adults - I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and the many transitions that life can bring. Whether you’re adjusting to a new chapter, facing unexpected changes, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can offer support and clarity. I work with people facing the emotional and practical challenges that come with major changes, whether it’s managing stress through a life change, finding your footing during uncertain times, or navigating adjustment to injury or illness. Together, we’ll focus on building resilience, improving emotional well-being, and developing tools to help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Individual Therapy for Adolescents - My work with teens is focused on supporting those navigating anxiety and depression. I strongly believe in the power of psychoeducation for teens when it comes to emotions, anxiety, and depression. By normalizing what they’re experiencing and teaching practical, effective coping tools, teens can feel more empowered and capable of managing their mental health. I value creating a relaxed, supportive space where teens feel safe enough to open up, learn, and grow. (You might be surprised how the most honest and meaningful conversations happen in session over a game of Jenga! :)

Couples Therapy - Supporting couples navigating the impact of illness or injury is the sole focus of my couples therapy practice. I help partners work through the unique challenges that arise when one or both are living with a health condition, whether it’s adjusting to a diagnosis, coping with ongoing symptoms, exploring how this shows up in the relationship, or managing the shifts in roles and routines. Together, we’ll focus on fostering healthy communication, strengthening connection, and finding new ways to support one another.

In therapy, I take an integrative approach, drawing from different styles depending on what works best for you. This might include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, or skills from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Having a flexible toolbox allows us to tailor therapy to your unique needs.

I strive to meet people where they are, to honor their identities, and to hold space with care and respect. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, and I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued for who they are.

Therapy can be a powerful source of healing and change. It’s one of the greatest privileges of my life to travel alongside people as they grow, heal, and reconnect with themselves. If you’re curious or ready to begin, I’d be honored to see if we could be a good fit.
