A Little About Me

If there's one thing I've learned, it's that life rarely presents challenges one at a time.

You may be adjusting to a chronic illness while dealing with work stress. Recovering from an injury while managing a heavy family load. Managing chronic pain while caring for aging parents. Therapy can be a place where all of those experiences are welcome.

I hold a special commitment to working with individuals facing significant crossroads in life, chronic illness, injury recovery, and chronic pain, as well as the many emotional and practical challenges that often accompany our journey in life. These experiences can influence mood, relationships, confidence, identity, and the way we experience safety, stress, and connection.

My approach is personable, interactive, and collaborative. I come to therapy ready to work alongside you, helping you better understand what is happening beneath the surface while identifying practical strategies that support meaningful change. I believe many of the thoughts, emotions, and patterns we struggle with developed for understandable reasons. At one point, they may have helped us cope, adapt, or protect ourselves. Together, we can explore which patterns continue to serve you and which ones may be keeping you stuck.

I integrate EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), and psychodynamic therapy. As we build insight and awareness, we can begin creating new patterns that feel more flexible, effective, and aligned with the life you want to live.

While therapy often involves meaningful reflection, it doesn't have to feel heavy all the time. Humor, authenticity, and genuine human connection can be powerful parts of the healing process. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, challenged when needed, and supported as you move toward the changes that matter most to you.

A Note to the LGBTQIA+ Community - I am committed to creating a therapeutic space where clients feel respected, supported, and accepted for who they are, not in spite of who they are. I value each person’s unique identity and strive to foster an affirming and inclusive environment for all clients.
