A Little About Me

Hi there! I’m a licensed professional counselor based in Decatur, Georgia, and I work with both adolescents and adults navigating life’s ups and downs. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, a tough life transition, or adjusting to a medical diagnosis or injury, I’m here to support you.

In therapy, I take an integrative approach, drawing from different styles depending on what works best for you. This might include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, or skills from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Having a flexible toolbox allows us to tailor therapy to your unique needs.

With adolescents, I strongly believe in the power of psychoeducation as related to anxiety, depression, emotions. Helping young people understand their thoughts and feelings can reduce confusion and isolation. By normalizing their experiences and teaching practical strategies, they feel more empowered and better equipped to manage anxiety and depression.

My goal is to create a space where you feel empowered to talk about what’s on your mind, whether it’s something long-standing or something new that’s thrown you off. Therapy can hold all kinds of emotions: frustration, sadness, joy, confusion, and yes, even laughter. You might be surprised how often laughter finds a way back in.

I also believe that understanding what you’re going through, especially when it comes to emotions, anxiety and depression, can be incredibly empowering. Sometimes it’s the not-knowing that feels the scariest. A big part of my work is helping clients feel more informed and less alone.

I strive to meet people where they are, to honor their identities, and to hold space with care and respect. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, and I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued for who they are.

Therapy can be a powerful source of healing and change. It’s one of the greatest privileges of my life to walk alongside people as they grow, heal, and reconnect with themselves. If you’re curious or ready to begin, I’d be honored to see if we could be a good fit.
