A Little About Me

Sometimes we find ourselves struggling in ways that don't fully make sense. You may feel stuck in the same patterns, overwhelmed by emotions that seem difficult to explain, or affected by experiences long after you expected to move past them. One of the things I value most about therapy is helping people better understand these experiences and move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and self-understanding.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, a chronic health condition, recovering from an injury, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, there is often much more going on beneath the surface than others can see. Our thoughts, emotions, relationships, stress levels, life experiences, and physical health are interconnected, and exploring those connections can create new possibilities for change.

I approach therapy with curiosity, compassion, and the belief that most of us are doing the best we can with the resources and information available to us at the time. Rather than focusing on what is "wrong," I work with clients to explore the meaning behind their experiences and identify ways of responding that align with their values and goals.

I work with teens and adults facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, chronic illness or injury, chronic pain, and life transitions. These experiences can affect identity, relationships, confidence, school, work, and the way we move through everyday life. Together, we can explore these challenges while fostering greater flexibility, resilience, and trust in yourself.

My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs, drawing from EMDR, CBT, ACT, and psychodynamic therapy. Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar or even intimidating, especially if you've never opened up to someone before. My goal is to provide a space where you feel comfortable showing up as you are.

I welcome and affirm clients of diverse identities, backgrounds, relationships, and life experiences, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Adults:

I support adults facing a wide range of life challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, chronic illness, injury, chronic pain, stress management, relationship concerns, and personal growth.

Teens (14+)

I enjoy working with adolescents ages 14 and older, helping them navigate challenges related to anxiety, self-esteem, peer relationships, worry, and sadness. I also provide support during periods of transition, including academic changes, life adjustments, and the college preparation process, helping teens build confidence, resilience, and healthy coping skills.

Couples:

I work with couples in order to foster open communication, deepen emotional connection, and cultivate trust fostering growth, resilience, and the foundation for a stronger, more fulfilling bond.
