A Little About Me

With over 20 years of experience as a mental health advocate, educator, and clinician, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, trauma-informed care to adolescents and adults. My journey began with a passion for advocating for women and children, which inspired me to earn a Master’s in Counseling from Georgia State University. My approach centers on creating a warm, supportive, and collaborative space where you can safely explore, grow, and heal.

I specialize in helping clients manage anxiety - whether it’s navigating everyday stressors or addressing more persistent worries- by building positive, trusting relationships and developing practical coping strategies together. I believe that feeling understood and supported is essential for navigating difficult times and fostering lasting change. With training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I provide support to help individuals process and move forward from painful experiences. My work is rooted in the belief that healing is a deeply personal and ongoing process, and I strive to help each client discover their own inner resilience and strengths.

I offer guidance for a wide range of concerns based on your unique goals. I enjoy supporting my clients as they grow, heal, and move forward. If you’re ready to take the next step on your journey, I look forward to working with you.

Adults:

I support adults in areas of focus including anxiety, depression, grief, stress management, relationships, personal exploration & growth, life transitions and relationships. In addition to my general practice, I have an interest in working with chronic illness and/or injury, women’s health issues as well as health care workers.

Adolescents:

I enjoy working with adolescents (12+) in areas including self-esteem, peer relationships, emotional awareness, worry & sadness. I also support adolescents in times of transitions.

Couples:

I work with couples in order to foster open communication, deepen emotional connection, and cultivate trust. Couples gain invaluable insights into themselves and each other, fostering growth, resilience, and the foundation for a stronger, more fulfilling bond.
